SymbOS/SendTool affects phones running the Symbian S60 platform. Some phones affected include the following:
Nokia 3650, 3600
Nokia 3660, 3620
Nokia 6600
Nokia 6620
Nokia 7610
Nokia 7650
Nokia N-Gage
Panasonic X700
Sendo X
Siemens SX1
It arrives as a SIS file that, when executed, installs the following files:
C:\system\apps\FSpreader\FSpreader.app
C:\system\apps\FSpreader\FSpreader.rsc
C:\System\apps\FSpreader\PATH.TXT
PATH.TXT contains a string that possibly represents a path in an affected mobile device:
LE:\pbcompressor.Sis
(note that LE is not a valid path in Symbian OS)
SymbOS/SendTool searches for available phones and sends the file specified in PATH.TXT via bluetooth to the first available device it finds.
